New Brunswick PNP - Entrepreneurial Stream

The New Brunswick Provincial Nominee Program (NBPNP) Entrepreneurial Stream is an economic immigration program for experienced entrepreneurs who are ready to establish, operate and actively manage a business while living and settling in New Brunswick permanently. The highest-scoring registrants are invited to apply to the Entrepreneur Immigration stream at periodic intervals, based on the processing capacity of the program.


Program Requirements

Minimum Net Worth

  • Personal net worth of at least CAD$600,000

Age Requirement

  • Must be between 22-55 years of age.

Education Requirement

  • must have completed a minimum of two years of full-time post-secondary education after completing high school

Business Experience

  • have at least three out of five years of experience in  managing and owning a business (of at least 33.3%);or
  • have five years out of five of experience in a senior business management role or more

Investment Requirements

  • Make an investment of  at least $250,000 CAD of your own funds to establish a business in New Brunswick

Language Requirements

  • Must have a score of at least 5 on the Canadian Language Benchmark Test in speaking, listening, reading and writing competencies in English or French


New Brunswick PNP - Entrepreneurial Stream Timeline

Entrepreneur has to submit the filled out EOI Form by mail to New Brunswick Provincial Nominee Program(NBNP)


Expression of Interest

NBPNP selects the EOIs with the highest scores and business concepts that have economic benefits to the province.

Invitation to Apply(ITA)

Entrepreneur submits a full application to the NBPNP.


Selected Entrepreneur submits a deposit of $100,000 dollars and a signed Business Performance Agreement to receive a nomination from NBPNP.

Nomination Certificate

Entrepreneur submits his completed application to Immigration Refugees Citizenship Canada(IRCC), who will assess the permanent residence application.

Permanent Residence Application Assesment

Entrepreneur lands in New Brunswick and establishes the business. The business must be operated for one year to be eligible to apply for a refund of deposit.
